Nautilus International has achieved the coveted Gold accreditation standard from Investors in People (IIP), the human resources assessment body.

It means all three of the Union's national branches in the UK, Netherlands and Switzerland – as well as the Nautilus Welfare Fund charity – are now officially recognised for their high standards of people management and staff development.

The Union has held Investors in People (IIP) accreditation since June 1998, starting with the Bronze standard and in 2021 rising to Silver.

The organisation decided to go for Gold in 2024, and achieved the accolade after months of rigorous assessment involving input from all staff.

Highlights from the IIP assessors' report include:

  • globally, Nautilus is in 18th position in benchmark ranking for organisations with 50-249 employees in its sector
  • 79.1% of staff members fully agree that Nautilus is a great place to work
  • Nautilus actively provides diverse opportunities for its people to grow and learn new skills, and welcomes external expertise when needed

'This is a huge credit to all our staff, who have worked hard to maintain this important recognition,' said general secretary Mark Dickinson. 'It's also a testament to the way in which we go about our work in supporting our members and those we care for.'
