Relief Marine Supervisor
Summary
Relief Marine Supervisor at Hound Point Marine Terminal in the Forth of Forth.
Minimum requirements: Officer of the Watch Competency with Dangerous Cargo Endorsement (Oil) or Basic Tanker Training. 12 months Sea Time.
Location: Right to live and work in the UK. Preference is for the candidate to live within an approximate 1 hour radius to the Terminal.
Job Description: This role reports to the INEOS Marine Operations Manager. Candidate shall supervise vessel cargo loading operations, including docking, undocking, cargo arm connection/disconnection, and pre-transfer safety checks. Provide support and guidance to the terminal operators during operations. Assist in the technical operation of the cargo arms and gangway. Understanding of vessel stability relative to terminal requirements. Provide dynamic risk assessments and report any issues to Marine Operations Manager. Ensure safe operations of shift personnel and visiting staff/contractors. Learn and support control of work permitting system. Optimize terminal performance in relation to charter party obligations, vessel clearances, and minimize demurrage claims (so far as safe operation permits).
Candidate should have strong leadership and management skills to optimize operational performance of Hound Point Marine Terminal.
This role provides fill in coverage for the Marine Supervisor and Control of Work positions. There is no fixed rotation, 100 minimum shifts provided, and a degree of flexibility is required.
